About This Project

Railway linking Akko and Karmiel involves a double track along 23 kilometres and is part of Netivei, the National Transport Infrastructure railways system.

The project costs near 800 million dollars and includes a station in Ahihud and 4.6 kilometre Gillon Tunnels. The line links up the Haifa-Nahariya line, south of Akko station and north of Kiryat Motzkin station. Two more stations are planned along the new line at the Arab towns of Jadeidi-Makr and Majd al-Krum.

Karmiel Station has a LDA NEO 8060 unit plus a NEO Extension 4250E mounted on a 22U rack with a battery charger. The system is accompanied by a VAP-1 voice alarm panel with an expansion keyboard VAP-8K.
