About This Project

The Bank of Israel is the central bank of Israel, in charge of issuing foreign currency. It is headquartered in Jerusalem, with a branch in Tel Aviv.

It was founded on August 24, 1954, when the Knesset approved the regulatory law of the Bank of Israel, which happened to have banking supervision. Currency control was not assigned to the bank until 1978. Since 1992, the bank has fulfilled the inflation control mission and is qualified to adopt monetary policy measures in order to meet this objective.

The Bank of Israel has EN-54 certified public address and voice evacuation systems made by LDA Audio Tech in its facilities.
