LDA and Sittig Technologies integrate PAXGuide with NEO+ for airport announcements

Sittig Technologies and LDA Audio Tech have integrated Sittig’s PAXGuide Automatic Announcement System with LDA’s NEO+ public address and voice alarm (PA/VA) platform for airport applications. The integration is already operating at a major European airport and provides a practical basis for future joint projects.

One announcement workflow across two systems

PAXGuide generates and manages automated passenger announcements using real-time flight data, including the content, timing and intended destinations of each message. NEO+ distributes the audio across the appropriate airport zones and provides the PA/VA functions required by the installation. Together, the systems help airport teams deliver routine passenger information through the same infrastructure used for public address and voice alarm.

The control interface uses Modbus TCP. The interface enables coordination of announcements and access to relevant system and zone information, giving integrators a defined way to connect the PAXGuide system and PA/VA platforms.

Flexible audio for new and existing airports

Audio from the automatic announcement system is delivered to NEO+ via analog audio connections, while Modbus TCP carries control and status information between the platforms. A single PAXcontroller, mounted in the PA rack, is all it takes to connect the LDA PA system to the cloud-based PAXGuide automatic announcement platform.

For projects designed around network audio, an AES67 interface is technically feasible and can be evaluated as a project-specific extension.

This approach allows consultants and integrators to apply the same integration concept across different airport infrastructures, from upgrades that retain existing audio connections to new installations. The PA/VA system continues to manage its own voice alarm functions and priorities.

A working foundation for cooperation

The integration is already in service at a major European airport. Sittig Technologies and LDA now to use the same interface in future projects and work together where airports need both automated passenger announcements and a certified PA/VA system. Their technical and commercial teams will coordinate opportunities and define the appropriate architecture for each airport.
