LDA ONE Series Obtains AS 4428.16 Certification for Australia

The LDA ONE public address and voice alarm system has obtained the CMI certification according to AS 4428.16:2020 standard, which guarantees that it meets the demanding safety and evacuation standards required in Australia and opens the door to new opportunities in this market.

This milestone has been possible thanks to the collaboration with our local partner Fusion Fire Systems, the only distributor in Australia with all its products ‘Certmark’ certified with the Australia Standards and the Quality Assurance/Surveillance requirements of JAS-ANZ.

The new certificate is issued by the notified body CMI Certification under the number PC10067 and validates that the ONE series can be used as an emergency warning and control system in the Oceanic country.

The certification process has been meticulous, including a remote audit of our headquarters and factory in Malaga TechPark. The success shows our brand’s solvency, as well as our ability to manufacture solutions that comply with international standards.

The AS 4428.16:2020 standard sets the technical requirements for emergency alarm and evacuation systems in Australia, ensuring their reliability and intelligibility in critical situations. Therefore, the certification obtained by the LDA ONE range guarantees that it meets high standards of safety, reliability and robustness.

The support of our partner and the new certification will serve to expand our presence in the Australian market this year and beyond. In addition, it will pave the way for the introduction of our new product innovations related to the NEO+ series and EVAC Cloud products there.

The new CMI certification for Australia adds to other international accreditations. On top of the EN 54-16, EN 54-4 and EN 54-24 certifications with Applus+, we also have Civil Defense approvals in Middle Eastern countries (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Kuwait and Oman) and CE and EAC markings, among others.
