Pilot program for public address installers in vocational training cycles begins

LDA Audio Tech and SAFA-ICET school have launched a pilot program to provide specialized formal training in public address systems for electrical and telecommunications installers.

The program will develop a training module tailored to the telecommunications installation curriculum in Spain, which can also be integrated into related programs, such as professional certification and training cycles in the electricity and electronics fields.

LDA’s expertise and technical knowledge will support specialized training for future professionals in electrical installations, telecommunications, audiovisual production, sound and public address systems, and security systems.

This pilot program includes the development of instructional units within the Electrical and Automatic Installations curriculum, an intermediate vocational training cycle in Spain. The program’s content focuses on commissioning and maintenance of public address and sound installations.

Additionally, the collaboration with SAFA-ICET enables the installation of an EN 54-certified public address and voice alarm system at the school. The entire process of system design, commissioning, and configuration will be conducted alongside students, providing hands-on learning in the field. The school will benefit from a certified system that enhances its safety.

Training will occur in multiple phases. Teachers and students from SAFA-ICET will receive online training via LDAcademy, LDA Audio Tech’s e-learning platform, and then complete a specific project study for the school. Students will work directly on an EN 54-certified public address and voice evacuation system, gaining experience in consulting, system design, commissioning, and maintenance.

The program’s goal is to establish it as a training module that can be extended to other centers offering Electrical and Automatic Installations and Telecommunications Installation Technician cycles. LDA Audio Tech remains open to collaborating with educational institutions to develop training initiatives that address sector needs and promote employability for future installers.

This project forms part of LDA’s corporate social responsibility initiatives, aimed at contributing to the social and economic development of the communities where the brand operates.

The collaboration with SAFA-ICET will not only help train future installers but also set a benchmark for other centers wishing to leverage LDA’s knowledge and experience, equipping their students with the skills necessary to work in public address and voice evacuation systems.
