About This Project

Valencia Airport is one of the 10 busiest airports in Spain, with almost 6 million passengers a year. Terminal 1 is the largest one including three floors, 62 check-in counters and 22 boarding gates.

LDA Audio Tech solutions chosen for this project include touch control consoles, LDA SIME software to control and monitor installation and an easy integration with previous PA system.

The main challenge in Valencia Airport was covering the sound of a large space with a high background noise during peak times that can mask vital announcements. These messages need to be clear and intelligible.

To ensure this point, LDA Renkus-Heinz high-performance directional speaker columns have been installed. These loudspeakers are designed to provide high sound pressure levels and high intelligibility in large areas without a lot of source points.

The installation project at Valencia Airport also includes digital audio routers with audio over Ethernet, both 8-channels and 4-channels, multi-channel amplifiers, backup amplifiers and line supervisor, as well as an advanced integration of the entire installation with the old system.
