What is the audio monitor function in NEXO?<\/h3>\n

This feature allows you to select a NEO+ system<\/a> zone and instantly listen to the audio playing there through a loudspeaker connected to NEXO<\/a>\u2019s analog output. The entire operation is managed using an MPS-8Z+ microphone as the control device.<\/p>\n

Configuration is done via the NEXO Config Tool<\/strong>, where you define the microphone that will activate the function, the button that triggers it, and the zones that can be monitored.<\/p>\n

How does it work?<\/h3>\n

To enable the audio monitor function, follow these steps in NEXO Config Tool:<\/p>\n

ACSI & ACSINet -> Zone Monitor Configuration -> Open Edit mode -> Enable Zone Monitor on CH1 Output<\/em>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”69739″ img_size=”full” css=”.vc_custom_1740050117925{margin-top: 20px !important;margin-bottom: 20px !important;}” qode_css_animation=””][vc_column_text css=””]Then, select the MPS-8Z+ microphone<\/a> (ACSI address) that will act as the monitor, the activation button (from 1 to 64 available), and the corresponding zone for each button in the table.<\/p>\n

To activate the audio monitor function:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Press “EVENT” on the MPS-8Z+ microphone.<\/li>\n
  2. Select the assigned activation button (e.g., button 8).<\/li>\n
  3. Choose the zone to monitor.<\/li>\n
  4. Press “TALK” to start listening.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    To<\/strong> stop monitoring<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

    1. Press “EVENT”.<\/li>\n
    2. Press the activation button (e.g., button 8).<\/li>\n
    3. Press “TALK”.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The activation button is reserved exclusively for this function and cannot be used for other events, either as a trigger or as a zone monitor button (marked in yellow in the image).<\/p>\n

      Since ACSI bus addresses cannot be duplicated, sharing the audio monitor function across multiple microphones<\/strong> requires setting the address configuration to “<any>”, as shown in the following image.
