The venue is home to the tennis <a href=\"https:\/\/mutuamadridopen.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mutua Madrid Open<\/a> every year since 2009 and hosts several sporting events (Davis Cup, Handball World Championships, European Volleyball League, international basketball games, World Padel Tour, World Judo, and other world championships), business events, musical events (MTV Awards, Mad Cool, Download, and mass concerts) and film shoots for adverts, film and TV.<\/p>\n<p>Built in steel, wood and glass, the complex was designed by French architect Dominique Perrault.<\/p>\n<p>The name \u201cCaja M\u00e1gica\u201d refers to the stadiums&#8217; enclosure, which gives them a dynamic and changing appearance.<\/p>\n<p>The Caja M\u00e1gica has three clay courts with movable roofs. The Manolo Santana Centre Court has a capacity of 12,500 spectators. Courts 2 and 3 have 3,500 and 2,500 seats, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>It is a <strong>large venue with an important flow of visitors<\/strong>. There are different sound zones and each of them needs to be controlled individually and coordinated with the others.<\/p>\n<p>The Caja M\u00e1gica\u2019s <strong>public address and voice alarm system<\/strong> was originally installed by system integrator <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ruybesa.com\/en\/home-en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ruybesa<\/a> in 2008 using LDA equipment and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bose.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bose<\/a> loudspeakers.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, the Caja M\u00e1gica requested a renewal of the system and the team Ruybesa \u2013 LDA was again awarded in a public tender to undertake this job.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;30px&#8221;]<div class=\"qode-advanced-image-gallery  qode-aig-grid-type qode-tiny-space  qode-image-behavior-lightbox \">\n\t<div class=\"qode-aig-inner qode-outer-space qode-aig-grid qode-aig-two-columns\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"qode-aig-image qode-item-space\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"qode-aig-image-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a itemprop=\"image\" class=\"qode-aig-lightbox\" href=\"https:\/\/lda-audiotech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/case-study-LDA-Caja-Magica-03.jpg\" data-rel=\"prettyPhoto[image_gallery_pretty_photo-744]\" title=\"case-study-LDA-Caja-Magica-03\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/lda-audiotech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/case-study-LDA-Caja-Magica-03.jpg\" class=\"attachment-full size-full\" alt=\"Case Study LDA - This way, <strong>the PA-BGM (public address) and VA (evacuation) operations would be managed under the same unified system<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The project&#8217;s requirements involved the <strong>simultaneous management of 5 public address and voice evacuation areas<\/strong>: 3 for the stadiums, with duplicated and redundant control systems, and another 2 for the circulation area (outside the Caja M\u00e1gica) and for the Tenis Indoor annex building.<\/p>\n<p>The control systems of the 3 stadiums were to be duplicated, but not the amplifier units, so that there would be automatic switching in their operation and the service <strong>would not be affected at any time despite a possible failure<\/strong>.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1681387033619{margin-top: 20px !important;margin-bottom: 20px !important;padding-top: 10px !important;padding-right: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 10px !important;padding-left: 20px !important;background-color: #f0163a !important;}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Solution<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The system has been designed to <strong>support the matrix flow of audio signals between sources and destinations<\/strong> to provide high-quality audio in each zone.<\/p>\n<p>By using a multi-tasking panel and the user-friendly <a href=\"https:\/\/lda-audiotech.com\/en\/category\/productos-en\/sime-software\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LDA SIME software<\/a>, it allows the operator to route or direct the message coming from either the microphones or the players in the required area.<\/p>\n<p>The complete system consists of <strong>two partially centralised LDA subsystems<\/strong>, each of which is in a separate rack placed in different locations around the venue.<\/p>\n<p>For the Caja M\u00e1gica, LDA Audio Tech has designed an <strong>architecture with no single point of failure<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It is a <strong>multi-site system<\/strong> with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>several <a href=\"https:\/\/lda-audiotech.com\/en\/neo-en-54-vas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NEO-8060<\/a> units with their NEO Extensions,<\/li>\n<li>and a control station provided with a <a href=\"https:\/\/lda-audiotech.com\/en\/productos-lda\/zes-22-digital-audio-matrix\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ZES-22 digital converter<\/a> and microphone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In each site there is also a ZES-22 connected to the whole system, which <strong>receives the audio from the control station as alternative zones<\/strong> and then sends these alternative zones via analogue audio.
