IMPROVED PA &amp; VA CORE<\/h3>\n<p>Sometimes the biggest changes are invisible to the eye. In NEO v40 <strong>we reprogrammed from scratch the internal core of NEO<\/strong>, applying all our accumulated experience to improve even more the security, reliability, and fluidity of the system.<\/p>\n<p>In this process, we have been able to <strong>optimize the internal code<\/strong>, so we could introduce even more features to the system. Many of them are available now with this release, but some others will be coming in future firmware updates.<\/p>\n<h3>2. ACSI v2 SUPPORT<\/h3>\n<p>We have been working hard to prepare NEO for the future and one important step has been renovating and upgrading completely our proprietary communication protocol: welcome to <strong>ACSI v2<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>ACSI v2 is bringing to NEO <strong>connectivity with all our future range of PA microphones, voice alarm panels and NEXO<\/strong>, coming soon in 2022 and early 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Below are some of the exciting new features arriving in this new range of products:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support to <strong>up to 32 devices<\/strong> (PA microphones or voice alarm panels) connected to the same NEO.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ethernet support<\/strong> for our PA microphones and voice alarm panels (digital connection).<\/li>\n<li><strong>AES67 digital audio<\/strong> support in layer 3.<\/li>\n<li>Full control and monitoring of the <strong>status of each emergency zone<\/strong>, one by one.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Store &amp; Forward<\/strong> functionality for our PA microphones.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Advanced integrations with 3<sup>rd<\/sup> party systems<\/strong> via NEXO, using a new open protocol, even more versatile and complete than before.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It\u2019s important to keep in mind that <strong>all ACSI devices connected to NEO must have the same firmware version<\/strong>. It is not possible to combine ACSI v1 devices with ACSI v2 devices in the same bus.<\/p>\n<h3>3. NEW CONFIGURATION OPTIONS FOR ACSI DEVICES<\/h3>\n<p>ACSI Devices (PA microphones or voice alarm panels), either v1 or v2, include now new configuration options directly from NEO:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Volume level control<\/strong> of ACSI devices from NEO.<\/li>\n<li>Possibility to <strong>customize the ACSI devices&#8217; priority<\/strong> independently from the ACSI bus address.<\/li>\n<li>Possibility to <strong>supervise PA microphones<\/strong> from NEO.<\/li>\n<li>Possibility to\u00a0disable the <strong>Plug &amp; Play mode<\/strong>\u00a0in the ACSI bus, so microphones that are not installed manually cannot be used in the system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>4. NEW EQUALIZATION OPTIONS<\/h3>\n<p>Introducing <strong>new DSP equalization filters<\/strong> for our audio inputs and outputs, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Peaking.<\/li>\n<li>Low\/High Shelf.<\/li>\n<li>Low\/High Pass.<\/li>\n<li>LP\/HP Butterworth.<\/li>\n<li>IIR Coefficient.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And in NEO4250E and NEO4500E a new delay function in every channel with up to <strong>144 ms of delay<\/strong> per device.<\/p>\n<h3>5. NEW FEATURE: GROUPS OF ZONES<\/h3>\n<p>With the new NEO firmware v40 we can create\u00a0<strong>groups of zones<\/strong> that can be assigned to the buttons of PA microphones and voice alarm panels.<\/p>\n<p>With this new feature, the limitation of 8 zones per microphone button is removed and now you can assign\u00a0<strong>unlimited zones to one button<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>6. From now on, firmware v30 and firmware v40 will coexist simultaneously:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Firmware v30<\/strong>: Support for legacy NEO systems (installed before August 2022).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Firmware v40<\/strong>: Brand new firmware for all new NEO systems (installed after August 2022).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We <strong>highly recommend <\/strong>updating all existing NEO systems to <strong>firmware v30<\/strong> (v2.30.XX.31).\u00a0This update greatly increases the durability and security of the system.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1651832501868{margin-top: 20px !important;padding-top: 20px !important;padding-right: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 20px !important;padding-left: 20px !important;background-color: #e6e6e6 !important;}&#8221;]We will continue providing support for both firmware <strong>v30<\/strong> and <strong>v40<\/strong> simultaneously in the coming years.<\/p>\n<p>All NEO devices in the same system should have the <strong>same firmware version<\/strong>.
