{"id":38798,"date":"2022-06-09T13:06:04","date_gmt":"2022-06-09T11:06:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lda-audiotech.com\/portfolio_page\/palmerola-international-airport\/"},"modified":"2022-06-20T14:32:00","modified_gmt":"2022-06-20T12:32:00","slug":"palmerola-international-airport","status":"publish","type":"portfolio_page","link":"https:\/\/lda-audiotech.com\/de\/portfolio_page\/palmerola-international-airport\/","title":{"rendered":"Palmerola International Airport"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Palmerola International Airport in Honduras is a newly built air terminal serving the capital Tegucigalpa and the entire central area of the country.<\/p>\n<p>Its public address and voice evacuation systems are provided with state-of-the-art LDA Audio Tech equipment that guarantees passengers\u2019 safety in case of emergency.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/palmerola.airport.hn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">airport<\/a> opened in December 2021 after more than 6 years of work and $200 million of investment. It is a 40,000 sqm facility that takes over the international operations of the old Tocont\u00edn airport in Tegucigalpa.<\/p>\n<p>The project has brought several challenges to the LDA Audio Tech team, which has been intensively monitoring the commissioning to ensure that all systems and configurations were working flawlessly as the opening date approached.<\/p>\n<p>Previous acoustic studies in the consultancy phase provided the key to understanding the acoustic scope of the project and were complemented by all the prescriptive work carried out by LDA&#8217;s commercial department together with the installer.<\/p>\n<p>The system equipment includes the following hardware:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A single <a href=\"https:\/\/lda-audiotech.com\/de\/neo-en-54-vas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NEO-8060 controller<\/a> with a total of twelve amplifier NEO Extensions spread over seven locations, interconnected by fibre optics.<\/li>\n<li>Fifteen <a href=\"https:\/\/lda-audiotech.com\/de\/productos-lda\/digitale-audiomatrix-zes-22\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ZES-22 audio converters<\/a> for Automatic Gain Control (AGC) and global system sources.<\/li>\n<li>Nine <a href=\"https:\/\/lda-audiotech.com\/de\/productos-lda\/mps-8z-sprechstelle-nach-en-54-16\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MPS-8Z paging microphones<\/a> for the boarding gates (SIME-controlled).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As for the software, the <a href=\"https:\/\/lda-audiotech.com\/de\/productos-lda\/sime-control\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SIME Control<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/lda-audiotech.com\/de\/productos-lda\/sime-calendar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SIME Calendar<\/a> suites have been installed and configured at the airport, with the CAG modules for automatic gain control and SIP for IP telephony.<\/p>\n<p>Palmerola has 7 flight gates, 40 baggage counters, as many for immigration and emigration operations, as well as staff offices.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the technology, in addition to X-ray and scanning equipment, half a thousand surveillance and thermographic cameras have been installed for temperature control.
